Everyone at Canterbury English understands that beginning a life in a new country and culture can be difficult. The Canterbury Club was created in 1996 with the vision of constructing a friendly, family atmosphere and preventing the feel of an impersonal corporate environment. Moreover, The Canterbury Club brings teachers, students and international friends together to discover Spain.

Each month, Canterbury directors, trainers and staff organize one or two events to bring all members of the Canterbury family together. The Club announces the events via a monthly news letter in which suggested conversation topics are included for the event and where a student and teacher of the month receive special recognition
Though events sometimes vary, in the past they have included the Vendimia Grape Harvest in October, a Thanksgiving Pot Luck Dinner, themed Pub and movie nights and excursions to places steeped in Spanish culture such as the Medrano Cave in Argamasilla de Alba where Don Quixote had one of his many adventures and the Celtic-Iberian city of Numancia.
All in all, The Canterbury Club is a fun, relaxing way to obtain a greater understanding of Spanish life and culture and guarantees memories and friendships that will last long after the completion of the TEFL course.
